Yes, you read that right, I am a bearer of oily skin. Fortunately, I was able to gather a few skincare products to cleanse, tone, and moisturize with, and it really works for me! The first product I use to remove any makeup I have on is the Clinique “Take the Day off Cleansing Balm”. This is a new addition for me but I have been loving it! This makeup remover can be used for oily, normal, combination, dry, and sensitive skin types. It melts away all traces of makeup and a little bit goes a long way! This product retails for $38.00 for 3.8 oz at Sephora.
Next, I wash my face with a cleanser; my favorite at the moment is the Origins “Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash”. I use this along with the Olay ProX Microdermabrasion Plus Advanced Cleansing System (a cheaper alternative to a Clarisonic). This cleanser balances dry and oily skin and is formulated without parabens, sulfates, or phthalates. When applied, this cleanser becomes frothy and leaves skin feeling super refreshed! This product retails for $26.50 for 5 oz at Sephora (smaller sizes are also available!).
Then I use a cleansing water. My all-time favorite (I’ve been using this product for over two years now) is the “Bioderma Sebium H20”. This product can be used for oily, combination, and blemished skin. I use this product to cleanse and remove any left over makeup that the prior products may have missed, usually around my hairline and chin/neck. This cleansing water does not dry out your skin and is hypoallergenic and paraben-free. I purchase this product at my local drug store and it retails around $26.00
Lastly, I moisturize. One of my favorite moisturizers that I recently returned to is the “Aveeno Ultra-Calming Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin”. This moisturizer uses active naturals to reduce redness and irritation (it does, however, have a strong scent, so avoid if you are easily irritated). Although I have oily skin, I sometimes get dry patches from acne, and this moisturizer clears it right up! This product can be purchased at drug stores, Walmart, etc. and depending on where you purchase, prices can range from $17.00 – $22.00.
For under eye moisturizer I have been using the “tarte Maracuja C-Brighter Eye Treatment”. This product hydrates, firms, and brightens the eye area. It is formulated without the use of parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. This product retails for $48.00 for 0.35 oz at Sephora. This product will last you a while!
I hope you enjoyed this post! If you try any of these products or have others that work well for you, let me know!
